Some Photos of my MedSchool Experience

As an initiation to USF's medical school program, the student committee hosts "Bull Run" a night in a local party spot called Ybor City.  The students each get a shirt, which acts as a ticket to get you into 16 bars in one night.  All their logos are on the back of the shirt.  Each bar gives you one free shot!  What a way to start off your first year at medical school! In an effort to dodge getting pickled from the evening's events, I drank cokes instead. ;)
My first birthday in Med School!
IM000702.JPG (769246 bytes) Uhm... In addition to poor spelling, my husband sometimes gets my birthday a bit mixed up.
Aaahh, school has begun.  Already the long hours strung over the dining room table, studying like it's required for me to get my next meal, have begun.
The fun part.  This is a photo of our White Coat Ceremony after our introductory block of classes was complete. Though you can't see me in this photo, I was there, I can prove it.  Just ask my family, who ... are also ... not really ... in this photo either...  well, just believe me anyway.
IM000836.JPG (847430 bytes) Who says you can't dress up for studying?  Any time's a good time to look good.
IM000915.JPG (94003 bytes) Yay!!!  2nd year is over and I passed my 1st board exams.  Click the photo to see me do my celebration dance! (4MB)
IM000319.JPG (848010 bytes) Decked out in the official gear, I get to look like a "grown up" doctor.  During 2nd year, I followed Doctors on rounds and in offices in fields like Family Medicine, Infectious Disease, and Radiology.  Third year has begun now, I get to do this full time 6 days a week!  Uhm...where's that hunk leg masseur I saw earlier?
3rd year, here I come!  Decked out in official scrubs, I'm ready to spend my time from 5 in the morning to 6 or 7 at night doing rounds in the hospital and "scrubbing in" for surgery.  The photo of this big smile on my face was taken BEFORE I actually started 3rd year.  Now the only smile you'll see is while I'm sleeping my treasured 4 hours a night after studying for weekly quizes.
